 Hiring Off Duty Paid Duty Officers

The Thunder Bay Police Service provides a professional and appropriate delivery of special paid duties, on a cost recovery basis to organizations and members of the public. Persons or Agencies may hire off-duty officers for special events and other approved duties which are outside the regular patrol parameters.

 

 

Special paid duty functions are generally:

 

  • Community Events
  • Business Security
  • Traffic Control
  • School Events
  • Concerts
  • Sporting Events
  • Wide Load Traffic Escorts

 

How to hire off duty officers:

Persons or Agencies requesting an off-duty officer must complete the PAID DUTY CONTRACT AGREEMENT and submit it for approval well in advance of the event,

The completed contract may be faxed, e-mailed or hand delivered as per the contact information provided in the body of the agreement.
