Resource Centre
The Thunder Bay Police Service has an enhanced approach to customer service. We are offer the public access to many of our walk-in services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Our Resource Centre is located at the main entrance of the Thunder Bay Police Headquarters at 1200 Balmoral Street. It is here that the public can report incidents and request services including:
- Criminal Records Checks
- Taxi License Applications
- Freedom of Information Applications
- Animal Calls (with no immediate danger to the public)
- Stolen Vehicles
- Mischief or Theft under $5000
- Found Property (including bicycles)
- Lost or Stolen License Plates
- Suspicious Person
- Gas Drive Offs
- Harassing or Indecent Phone Calls
- Trespassing
- Towed Vehicles
Self-reporting of motor vehicle collisions can be made at the Collision Reporting Centre provided they do not include:
- Injuries
- Criminal Activities
- School Buses, Emergency, Federal, Provincial or Municipal Vehicles
- Commercial Vehicles
- Vehicles Transporting Dangerous Goods
- Damage to Signs, Poles, Traffic Lights
- Damage over $1,000 to Vehicles and/or Property on Highway, Municipal or Private Property
