History and nature meet at Pigeon River, route of the voyageurs, at the western end of Lake Superior next to the U.S. Border. Pigeon River is a geologic treasure formed by the actions of volcanoes and glaciers, and carved by the waters of Pigeon River and Lake Superior to create the park's steep ridges and deep valleys seen today. Walk park trails to view two major waterfalls - High Falls and Middle Falls - and view the sculpted art benches displaying the history of the area. Nature trails originate from the Pigeon River Ontario Travel Information Centre parking lot.
