Wow Lois Nuttal from Lake Superior Visits, thank you so much for that wonderful trip. Everything worked out perfectly. It was really nice of Paul Pepe, Mangager of Tourism Thunder Bay, to meet us at the airport. We had a nice chat with him.

The front desk people at Valhalla Inn were really friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our dinner at Lot 66 and the play at the Paramount. The young man that met us in costume at Fort William Historical Park was very entertaining. He kept in character the whole time and showed us all around the Fort. We really liked the wigwam and bannock and tea.

We were really surprised that Karen Ramsdale and the Flicker Chicks wanted to show us around. We loved Kakabeka Falls and the Terry Fox Memorial. We had a lot of fun with the girls. I felt like a movie star at one point when they were all taking pictures of us. Dinner at the Hoito was delicious and Hannah’s Suitcase was a very moving play. The people at Enterprise were extremely helpful and got us a GPS to help us find our way around.

Janice was over the moon about the dog sledding at Nor'West Sleg Dog Adventures and fell in love with "Taco" one of the sled dogs and wanted to bring him home with us. I said no, so she just gave him lots of hugs and pets. The scenery out there was beautiful and we had the perfect day for dog sledding. We had no problem finding the place and enjoyed the drive. We then headed to the OLG Casino Thunder Bay where they gave us a package of slot play coupons, we loved the jackets they gave us and we got tickets to put in for a draw for a car at the end of the month. Would love to win that !!!  We had a great dinner there, didn’t win big but had fun trying.

We had some great breakfasts at Valhalla and they let us use the coupons for continental breakfasts towards regular breakfasts which was great. It snowed a lot on the Monday and we had a 2 hour delay, when we finally got going it was smooth sailing with West jet all the way home. What a great airline. I don’t have one bad thing to say about this trip. We sure were busy but we enjoyed every minute of it and I have a lot of Thunder Bay stories to tell. I feel so lucky that I got to do this and I give a big thank you to you, Paul Pepe and Thunder Bay tourism.
