Summer in the Parks
Get ready for another great summer of fabulous FREE weekly musical concerts proudly coordinated by your Recreation & Culture Division.
With the incomparable Marina Park on Lake Superior as the setting, concerts showcase local talent performing a wide variety of musical styles. Past performers have included Roy Coran's Big Band, Flamenco Caravan, Accordion with Strings Attached, Flipper Flanagan's Flat Footed Four, CR Slam and Bourbon Haze. Food vendors supply snacks and non-alcoholic drinks for purchase while volunteers lead children's games and face painting activities. Cartoonists will draw caricatures with proceeds supporting Thunder Bay's Shelter House.
