Thunder Bay Art Gallery

tbag 2016 updateThe Thunder Bay Art Gallery is the largest public gallery between Sault Ste. Marie and Winnipeg, Manitoba. The Gallery's Permanent Collection includes over 1600 works. The vast majority of the collection is Aboriginal art, making it one of the most significant collections in Canada. The Gallery presents more than 20 exhibitions by regional, national, and international artists every year. The Gallery also offers educational tours and workshops, special events, art classes for all ages, and a unique gift shop.

Located on Confederation College Campus, on Keewatin Drive, off Balmoral Avenue.

Ahnisnabae Art Gallery

Owned and operated by Louise Thomas, the Ahnisnabae Art Gallery is dedicated to the memory of her late husband, Roy Thomas, and carries on his legacy and dreams by showcasing his works, as well as those of several local artists, thus continuing to support and promote the Ahnisnabae culture.

Chenier Fine Arts

Chenier Fine Arts, the purple gallery at 8 Court Street South, showcases a diverse selection of original art by Canadian, regional and international artists who exhibit nationally. With over 40 years experience in the fine art, framing and decorating businesses, Debra specializes in personalized in-home art placement and informative framing consultations. Debra represents over 75 established and emerging artists and displays over 250 original works of art. Mediums include paintings, mixed media, original prints, sculpture, and Shane Norrie's wheel thrown stoneware & hand-built paper clay vessels.

Definitely Superior

Northwestern Ontario's leading edge artist-run centre for the contemporary arts operates as an alternative to both the commercial art galleries and to the larger, mainstream public galleries. Local citizens and visitors can experience multi-disciplinary activities such as artist workshops and lectures, film and video screenings, media arts installations, performance art, experimental sound/audio, music and literacy events.

The Baggage Building Arts Centre

Located on the Waterfront at Prince Arthur's Landing, this newly renovated arts centre is home to the Gift Gallery, a showcase of local talent including everything from fine art to music, books, clothing and gift items. The Arts Centre also hosts a variety of exhibits, demonstrations, working artists and community activities. You never know what you may find, so come down and visit us, we're just one part of the engaging waterfront experience that's waiting for you to enjoy.

Lakehead Visual Arts Gallery features original artwork in a variety of mediums by 40 regional artists.

The Painted Turtle Studio Gallery

The Painted Turtle Studio Gallery hosts local artist in residence throughout the year. Each three month exhibition of work demonstrates the diversity of Northern Ontario Artists. Stop by and watch artists at work or take in a class or workshop.

Sleeping GiantLake Superior Art Gallery

 Located in the Victoriaville Shopping Centre featuring a wonderful display of paintings from local and regional artists, as well as unique artwork from Aboriginal Artists. The gallery also shows Amethyst Art from local crafters and artisans.
