Fort William Historical Park

We've been hosting successful events for over 400 years!

Fort William Historical Park offers a picturesque natural setting within city limits. Equipped with first class meeting and banquet facilities the Fort can also custom design tours and adult learning programs.

There's an endless array of hands-on group activities including aboriginal culture sessions in the Learning Wigwam, canoeing on the Kam River, low ropes course at the new Tallships Adventure Learning centre, GPS Treasure Hunting and other team-building experiences.

Situated on the beautiful Kaministiquia River, the Fort has it all - the perfect pristine setting, serene atmosphere and quality catering. In addition to the four distinctive air-conditioned and fully-licensed banquet rooms, there is a multitude of heritage buildings and limitless outdoor locations.

The picturesque McGillivray's Landing conference room has large windows, open pine beams, break-out rooms, state-of-the-art audio and visual systems, and a deck and patio overlooking the Kaministiquia River. Maximum 460

The Canot du Nord, a heritage building, is located on the historic site. Tin lanterns provide accented lighting. The facility also features a fireplace and there is room for dancing on the wooden floor. Maximum 100

The Cantine offers an intimate, rustic atmosphere. Complete with historic tables and chairs, it is just right for informal gatherings. Maximum 100

The Great Hall, offered seasonally, is also located on the historic site. Outfitted with two wood burning fireplaces, heritage chandeliers and historic portraits, it's an impressive combination of elegance and comfort. Maximum 100
