Winter Hours of Operation resume at Thunder Bay's Information Centres
The Terry Fox Information Centre is open between the hours of 9am – 5pm 7 days a week closed on statutory holidays. The Centre will be closed on October 11 for Thanksgiving Day.


Fort William Historical Park

Experience a trip back in time at Fort William Historical Park! Explore Fort William, the vast inland fur trade headquarters of the North West Company in 1815. Visit the Native Camp, Great Hall, artisan's square and other key areas. Open daily 10 am to 5 pm until October 11. Walking tours available throughout the winter months at 11am and 2pm daily 

Haunted Fort Night on Oct 22-24 & Oct 29-31
Shadows are deepening … something sinister and disquieting is in the air … it's the Haunted Fort Night. Embark upon a haunted tour of Fort William as a mysterious story and eerie happenings unfold. The building are dim and foreboding … The pathways are dark and threatening … what lurks in the shadows? The inhabitants are fearful and strange …. Startling screams and piercing sounds and unsettling bumps in the night abound as your guide leads your group through the dark, brooding fort by candlelight … not for the faint of heart!

Recommended for ages 10 and up. Reservations are required. The event often sells out, so you must call ahead! Over 12 tours are available each evening, with a capacity of roughly 20 patrons per tour. Haunted Fort Night is outdoor walking tours, happening rain or shine, so please dress accordingly. For inquiries please call (807) 473-2344 or e-mail info@fwhp.ca.

Fall Wonderland and Pumpkin Barn at Belluz Farm
Weekends until Oct 31 from 11am to 5pm, Belluz Farm at 752 Candy Mountain Drive will be holding Fall Wonderland. Admission is free and activities include, barn animals, toddler toddle straw Bale Maze, Kids Play Area. For an additional $3 you can enjoy a 3 acre, 7ft tall Amazing Corn Maze, Farm Wagon Tours, and the hidden Pumpkin hunt. Visit the Farm Market store featuring harvest veggies and local products such as meat, cheese, flour, honey, birch syrup, bread and Preserves. Purchase a Belluz Pumpkin and we will donate $1 to the United Way of Thunder Bay. If you can't make it to the farm visit the Little Red Barn on Memorial Avenue by Home Hardware. 2010/11 Season Underway for Magnus Theatre
From Oct 21 – Nov 6 Magnus Theatre presents the second production of the season with “Tempting Providence”. A story of courage and strength told with simple elegance, the play is an inspiring and heart-felt portrayal or Myra (Grimsley) Bennett, the “Florence Nightingale of the North”. As a British trained nurse and midwife she arrives in Newfoundland from her native England in 1921 after hearing of the desperate need for her work in rural communities.
