We are looking for volunteers who are caring, responsible and committed to making a difference in the lives of animals in our care. If you are friendly and outgoing, join our team of volunteers.

Become a Volunteer Coordinator

Do you have excellent communication skills? Do you like animals? Are you caring, flexible and able to work with a wide range of people? If so, you could be just the person we're seeking.

Animal Services is looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to coordinate our volunteer program. The Coordinator is a 'volunteer' position and is responsible for recruiting and training our volunteers.  Interested applicants should email: jkondrat@thunderbay.ca.

How to volunteer

Complete a Volunteer Application Form and send it to us by email, or drop it off in-person at our Centre located at 882 Alloy Place (Monday - Friday 11 am - 5 pm or Saturday 12 pm - 4 pm).

Once you have completed the interview and reference checks, you will be required to attend an orientation and hands-on training session.

We may not be able to respond immediately to all applicants and appreciate your patience.
