Purpose and Effect of By-law Number 11/2019
The purpose of the Official Plan Amendment No. 69 is to amend the City of Thunder Bay Official Plan, as amended, for the lands on Registered Plan 762, Lot 15 and the adjacent Brighton Avenue Allowance, to add a site specific policy to the Rural Residential designation to permit a lot to be created, which includes the adjacent Brighton Avenue Road Allowance proposed to be acquired by the Applicant from the City, with less than 60 metres of frontage
The effect of the Official Plan amendment No. 69 is to facilitate a consent to sever application to create one new lot for a single detached dweliing once the Applicant acquires the adjacent Brighton Avenue Road Allowance.
Public comment was received and considered and did not influence Council’s Decision. Council believes that a lot with reduced frontage in the Rural Residential designation is appropriate in the circumstances.
A key map showing the location of the lands to which By-law 11/2019 applies is attached.
