Winter FunDays - January 8 - March 19, 2023

Participate in Winter FunDays and enjoy some winter fun with a different free activity every Sunday from January through the end of March!

SnowDay on the Waterfront - February 20, 2023

SnowDay features fantastic sculptures as the focal point of this one-day celebration of all things winter - at beautiful Marina Park.

Quest - May 12-13, 2023 

Quest is Thunder Bay's annual tech and gaming event that offers tech related educational workshops and programming.

Kite Festival & Canadian Forces Snowbirds Air Show - June 3-4, 2023

Kite Festival is an award-winning event that brings professional kite flyers, demonstrations and activities for all ages every June. For 2023 we are very excited to add the Canadian Forces Snowbirds Air Show! 

Maamawe Summer Festival June 24, 2023

The Maamawe Summer Festival and Showcase is a community festival that promotes inclusion, diversity and well-being for the Thunder Bay community and all visitors to the region. The Festival showcases local talent with a focus on Indigenous artists to share elements of Indigenous contributions like music and art. 

Canada Day - July 1, 2023

Canada Day celebrates the anniversary of Canadian confederation, sometimes referred to as “Canada’s Birthday”.  Many Canadian citizens, newcomers and visitors choose to recognize and celebrate Canada Day.  The City of Thunder Bay offers Canada Day programming for those who wish to participate, and respects the perspectives and wishes of those who do not.

Teddy Bears Picnic - July 11, 2023

Children, parents and teddy bears are invited to the annual Teddy Bears Picnic to enjoy an afternoon of free crafts, activities and entertainment in July at Vickers Park.

Live on the Waterfront - July 19 - August 31, 2023

Live on the Waterfront is Thunder Bay's premier free concert series! Happening Wednesday evenings throughout the summer in July and August. 

Movie Nights in the Parks - August 10 - 31, 2023

Movie Nights in the Parks is a series of free outdoor film screenings that take place on Thursday evenings in August.

Culture Days - September 22 - October 15, 2023

Culture Days is an annual national celebration that has become one of the Country's largest participatory cultural events.
