Kite Festival is back this year at Chippewa Park!  

We can't wait for you to join us on Sunday, June 9th from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm!

Bring along your favourite kite and come out to experience Kite Festival! 

Highlights include:

  • Free flying zone where the public can fly their own kites
  • 200 kites to be given away throughout the event
  • Kite making and craft projects with Community Arts & Heritage Education Project (CAHEP)
  • Spooky science activities with Science North
  • Bouncy castles

FREE shuttles from Intercity Shopping Centre to Chippewa Park. Park at Intercity (old Lowe’s parking area) and take the shuttle to Kite Festival!

This exciting two-day event was held from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm on June 3 and 4 with air shows by the Canadian Forces Snowbirds scheduled for 12:00 pm. 

There was professional kite flying demonstrations, community groups, food vendors, arts programming, outdoor games, bubble station, skateboarding lessons for youth, and more!
