Join us for Quest: Tech and Gaming; an FREE interactive STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, & math) based event presented by the City of Thunder Bay’s Cultural Development, Community Programming and Events section! Come out for two action-packed days at Fort William Gardens on May 12th from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm and May 13th from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. Dive into cutting-edge workshops by Science North, experience virtual reality gaming with ThunderVR, meet Spot the robot dog from Ontario Power Generation, and explore much more at this exciting event. Science North Workshops

Join Science North staff for hands-on, guided workshops. Limit of 25 participants per workshop.  

Workshop Schedule:

Friday, May 12:

4:30 pm – Battle bots (participants build robots with sensors to battle)

5:30 – Intro to AI (learn about AI and explore how to use it safely)

6:30 – Micro:bit coding (small programmable micro computers)

7:30 – Science show (join the bluecoats as they deliver a live show with coding, explosive fire demonstrations, bubbly messes and more!)

Saturday, May 13:

10:30 – Science Show (join the bluecoats as they deliver a live show with coding, explosive fire demonstrations, bubbly messes and more!)

11:30 – Battle bots (participants build robots with sensors to battle)

ThunderVR will be on site for participants 8 and over to try out virtual reality gaming.
