About our program
The Youth Inclusion Program provides neighbourhood based programming and individual support created to fit the needs of youth ages 12 to 24. Our goal is to create a safe and positive environment for youth to reach out for extra support when needed.
Our program is youth centered and youth led. Built into the program are opportunities to access healthy adults and peers who can provide guidance, support and mentorship.
Group programming
The Youth Inclusion Program offers neighbourhood based drop in programming for ages 12 to 24. Group programming is based on consultation from young people within each neighbourhood and can include anything from life skills, art, recreation activities, to community outings.
We are currently active in the following neighbourhoods:
- Limbrick/Vale Neighbourhood in the District Social Services Board Resources center. This is located at Unit 97 K Limbrick Street.
- Windsor/Picton/Blucher Neighbourhood. We will be located at 288 Windsor Street, Unit 45.
- Simpson/Ogden. We are located at Minnesota Park, 277 Pacific Avenue.

Individualized support
Youth Navigators with the Youth Inclusion Program, welcome referrals to work with youth to identify their strengths & provide one-to-one support for e.g. employment, housing, well-being, education, mental health and pro-social cultural and recreation opportunities etc.
Navigators can support a youth in their personal development and goals, support skill and leadership development, advocacy, community connections and opportunities, work at addressing gaps in services and break down barriers in participation. Navigators are mobile and as such, they can provide accompaniment to appointments and or assist with transportation if that is a barrier.
