Conditions of use - may only be purchased by:
  • Seniors over 65 years
  • High school students age 18 & under
  • Children nine to 12 years
  • Disabled persons with valid ID card
To obtain a disability ID card, proof of receipt of income support either from the Provincial or Federal government is required.

**Family Day Pass

Conditions of use - pass is good for unlimited trips for:
  • Two adults (18+) and three children, or
  • One adult (18+) and four children
Pass, along with proof of age must be submitted for inspection upon request and may be confiscated for misuse. Pass is good for Thunder Bay Transit ridership during the designated day.

Transit is not responsible for replacing lost or stolen passes.

Support Persons:

No fee with proper approval of Thunder Bay Transit. (Without proper approval the fee is as indicated above.)

Federal Tax Credit for Transit

The Federal Government announced it would provide a non-refundable tax credit to those persons who purchase a Monthly pass (adult or discount). To claim the tax credit If you purchased a monthly pass, keep all of your expired monthly passes for the year. Write your name and address on the back of each pass. If the information on the front of the pass is worn, keep your receipt of purchase. For more information on how to claim and to determine your refund amount, see www.transitpass.ca.

fare fraud

Fare fraud is a serious criminal offence. Unlawful use of tickets, monthly passes or uPass may result in confiscation and/or the possibility of criminal charges. In the event of unlawful use or fare dispute, passengers will be asked to pay the cash fare. Passengers may contact Thunder Bay Transit for resolution in the event of a dispute.
