Section of Edward Street to close for repainting

A section of Edward Street will close on Thursday, Oct. 3 for line painting.
Edward Street will be closed in both directions between Riverview Drive and Victoria Avenue starting at 9 am. The roadway is expected to reopen by 2 pm.
The closure will allow for line painting to take place after asphalt rehabilitation was completed on this stretch of Edward Street.
Section of Balmoral Street to close for paving

A section of Balmoral Street between Forest Street and Cameron Street/Dease Street will be subject to lane restrictions and road closures beginning on Friday, Sept. 27 to allow for the completion of paving work.
On Friday, lane restrictions will be in place for southbound traffic, and northbound traffic will be detoured around the construction zone, as crews place a first lift of asphalt pavement.

Lanes reduced on Water Street for watermain repair

Lane reductions will be in place today on Water Street South near the intersection with Cumberland Street as crews complete watermain repairs.

Mapleward Road will be closed between Oliver Road and the City’s Solid Waste & Recycling Facility starting today, Monday, Sept. 16.
The closure is necessary to allow for asphalt rehabilitation work, which includes asphalt removal, grading, and paving. The work is expected to take approximately one and a half weeks to complete. Traffic will be detoured around the work site using Gratton Road.

Section of Walsh Street to close Sept. 15

A section of Walsh Street between Neebing Avenue and Commerce Street will be temporarily closed to traffic on Sunday, Sept. 15 to allow for the replacement of a hydrant and water valve in the area.
This section of Walsh Street will be closed in all directions starting at 8am on Sunday. The closure is expected to last approximately 12 hours. An alternate route is available via Mary Street.
Travellers are advised to exercise caution and expect traffic delays in the area.
