As of July 1, 2024, Circular Materials, via their contractor, GFL will manage Thunder Bay’s recycling program. This transition will not impact recycling collection frequency and accepted materials.

Also on July 1, GFL will begin the use of an automated recycling cart system for collecting residential curbside recycling. After July 1, blue bags will no longer be used for your recycling. Recycling carts will be delivered, free, to detached homes in Thunder Bay in May and June.
