Clean, Green & Beautiful awards

Thunder Bay's Clean, Green & Beautiful Awards recognize building and renovation projects, landscapes and outdoor public spaces that improve the community through public art, beautification, heritage and environmental greening.

2016-2017 Green & Beautiful school grants

The City of Thunder Bay's Clean, Green and Beautiful Committee awarded six grants of up to $1,000 to secondary schools in 2017 for greening and beautification projects through the Green & Beautiful School Grant Program. Projects included new outdoor common spaces, gardens, recycling collection and storage and improvements to bus areas.

Urban beautification

Through a partnership between Clean Green and Beautiful and the City’s Planning Division, an Urban Design study was completed in 2012 after considerable work and public consultation. This work improves the quality of our City’s built environment by guiding the character of City streets and informing future Municipal work.
