The Eye on the Street Partnership is a community public safety initiative in the City of Thunder Bay to maintain a safe environment in the downtown cores. The Eye program manages 16 cameras in 12 locations in the Downtown areas (see maps below)[insert images].

Purpose of the program

The Eye on the Street program provides monitoring solely for safety and security purposes.

Security and law enforcement will use information gathered from video monitoring. Information released will be in accordance with the standards of the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

There will be signs posted to identify areas that are within the view of the camera. Camera views are restricted to public spaces only. [insert photo of signs]
