Crossing Guard Appreciation Week
The City of Thunder Bay is encouraging residents to show their support and appreciation for their neighbourhood School Crossing Guards during Crossing Guard Appreciation Week, running from June 1 to June 5, 2026.
The week is an opportunity to recognize the individuals across the city whose dedication helps keep young residents safe on their daily journeys to and from school.

Crossing Guard Recruitment
The City of Thunder Bay is currently looking for friendly, positive individuals who enjoy children and the outdoors and have a desire to make a difference in children's lives but also want a job that fits their own lifestyle. You must be able to pass a work fitness test and vision test and be able to obtain a Police Record Check - Type 3 Vulnerable Sector.
