Programs fill up quickly so register early! Recreation activities can be found in The Key recreation guide. The Recreation & Culture Division registers participants for City programs only. Registration is on a first-come basis.

How to register for a program

Register by phone

Call the "Registration Hotline" at 807-625-8463. Registration starts the Monday following the delivery of The Key and extra staff are available to cover the hotline for a few weeks at that time. If a registration agent is not available, your call will be forwarded to voice mail.

Register in person

The Canada Games Complex, Churchill Pool, Volunteer Pool, Thunder Bay 55 Plus Centre and the Recreation & Culture Division take in-person registrations during normal hours of operation. Payments can be made by cash, cheque, money order or Visa™/MasterCard™.

 

Payment is required at the time of registration. To register you will need:

  • Course name and code number
  • Participant name
  • Address and postal code
  • Participant's date of birth
  • Phone numbers (day and evening if different)
  • Visa or MasterCard number and expiry date
  • Extra Registration Hotline Coverage

Registration is on a first-come basis. If you have problems registering, please contact the Systems Planning Coordinator at 807-625-2879.

Satisfaction guaranteed

We sincerely hope that you enjoy our programs. If not completely satisfied, speak to the Supervisor of the program area BEFORE the second class to receive a FULL refund. Refunds granted after the second class are pro-rated. Medical certificates may be required. No refunds after mid-point of programs.

Confirmation of enrolment

If you receive your first choice in programs, you will not hear from us. Simply attend the first class. If your first choice is not available, we will contact you by telephone. Receipts will be available at the location of the first class/lesson.

Need help paying fees?

The Recreation & Culture Division has a policy to assist people who wish to participate in its instructional programs. If you require assistance with program fees, you must contact a supervisor at 807-625-2351 prior to submitting your registration form. This policy only applies to registered programs directly administered by the Recreation & Culture Division. Children may apply for program registration through PRO Kids, or call 807-625-3212.
