Le 16 février 2024 - Les Jeux d'hiver de l'Ontario 2024 de Thunder Bay, présentés par Hydro One, débutent aujourd'hui alors que les athlètes de toute la province commencent à arriver dans la ville et que la première des deux cérémonies d'ouverture commence à 17 heures.
"Nous sommes très heureux de donner le coup d'envoi des Jeux d'hiver de l'Ontario 2024 ici à Thunder Bay", a déclaré Barry Streib, président du comité organisateur.
Let the Winter Games Begin!The Thunder Bay 2024 Ontario Winter Games, presented by Hydro One, are kicking off today as athletes from across the province begin to arrive in the city and the first of two opening ceremonies begin at 5 pm.

Organizing Committee ready to kick-off 2024 Ontario Winter GamesJanuary 10, 2024 – After more than two years of planning, the Thunder Bay 2024 Ontario Winter Games, presented by Hydro One, are set to kick off on February 16.
More than 1,350 athletes, coaches and officials are expected to participate in 13 sports ranging from cross country skiing to wrestling, with most athletes’ ages ranging from 12 to 18 years old.

Les Jeux d’hiver de l’Ontario de 2024 auront lieu en février à Thunder Bay, et le comité organisateur sollicite des manifestations d’intérêt auprès d’entreprises locales qui pourraient être en mesure de fournir des services.
« Alors que la Ville se prépare à accueillir des milliers de participants et de bénévoles de partout en Ontario, nous avons une occasion pour les restaurants, les traiteurs et les entreprises de transport locaux de s’impliquer », a déclaré Matthew.

Plus de 700 bénévoles seront nécessaires pour apporter leur aide à l’organisation des prochains Jeux d’hiver de l’Ontario, le plus grand événement multisports de l’Ontario, du 15 au 23 février à Thunder Bay et dans ses environs.
Les Jeux se dérouleront sur plusieurs sites sportifs et comprendront 22 épreuves allant du jeu de quilles à cinq quilles au ski de fond, de l’escrime au wushu.
Call for volunteers launched for 2024 Ontario Winter GamesMore than 700 volunteers will be required to assist with the upcoming Ontario Winter Games, Ontario’s largest multi-sport event, from February 15 – 23 in and around Thunder Bay.
The Games will take place at multiple sporting venues and include 22 events ranging from five-pin bowling to cross country skiing, from fencing to wushu.
