Golf Thunder Bay offers two courses comprising 36 holes for golfing enthusiasts to enjoy. Chapples Golf Course and Strathcona Golf Course are public municipal golf facilities structured to offer enjoyment for all levels of golfers. Both courses provide full Pro Shop services including club and cart rentals. Clubhouses are licensed and offer a light lunch and snack bar services. Golf Thunder Bay is also pleased to provide a full practice facility at Chapples golf course with access to book golf lessons with a professional.
Chapples and Strathcona golf courses are now open!
Reservations will open 3 days in advance over the phone, in person and online at the time of opening. Stay tuned to facebook for more updates.
Chapples Hours - 7am to 8:30pm daily - last bucket sold at 8pm
Strathcona Hours - 7am to 8:30pm daily
Gift Cards and memberships can be purchased through the golf courses
Gift Cards are for golf services, food and beverage, or merchandise in our pro shops.

Are you a full time City Employee?
Full time City of Thunder Bay employee's can sign up for payroll deduction in 2026 for golf membership purchases. Deductions can start anytime in 2026 and must be finished by October 2026.
