Memberships and Green Fees

Membership Information

We will be selling memberships online this winter unless you need to make special arrangements for payment. Online memberships are available at the online store only starting February 1st, 2027.  We don't have a winter office for membership purchases. Call the Supervisor of Golf Services at 807 626-3122 for more information.

Note - Club Storage at Chapples and Strathcona will not be sold online. Please talk to our clerks at the courses when we open in the spring. Those with existing club storage will have up to May 15th to purchase their existing spot. After this point open spots become available to anyone else.

Payment Plans 

Golf services will not be offering a monthly payment plan for the 2027 season. We do take credit card for all membership purchases.

Payroll Deduction

Full time City of Thunder Bay employee's can sign up for payroll deduction in 2027 for golf membership purchases.

Deductions can start anytime in 2027 and must be finished by the end of September 2027.

Set up this plan with the Supervisor of Golf Services.

Members Referral Program

If you are a current membership holder, you can refer a new member in the current season that was not a member in the previous season to receive a $100 Gift Card with Golf Thunder Bay. (child and junior memberships do not qualify for the referral program) This gift card can be awarded to the existing member or as a gift to your new member. You can email the member name and referred new member to pat.berezowski@thunderbay.ca. Last day to refer a member is May 31st.

Chapples Driving Range

Chapples will continue to offer punch cards for the driving range instead of the unlimited membership, but the 2027 punch cards will expire at the end of the season. A bucket of 60 balls will be priced at $12.39 before tax. See punch card pricing under the Memberships and Green Fee section or under the online store. The punch card will be tracked on our system and bucket balances will be given to you after each transaction.

Adult punch card options - 50 bucket punch card - expiry at the end of 2027

Junior punch card - (18 and under) 50 bucket punch card - expiry at the end of 2027  Junior punch cards can only be used by the junior. If you are an adult buying this card for the junior, it will be agreed on purchase that anyone over age will not use the punches or they will be inactivated.

Family Plans

Family Membership plans - add a junior or child membership for a discounted price to any full adult or older adult membership with all other juniors or children golfers in the family for Free. Offered to parents and grandparents. 

Age Membership Requirements - whatever gives you the best rate. If you turn 60 years old in December of the current year then you qualify for the older adult rate. Same with juniors, children, youth and intermediate rates.

Gift cards

Gift Cards are available at the Golf Courses in season or through our Online Store during the winter off season. Online denominations of $100, $150, $200, or $250, as well as Packages of Gift Cards if you are wanting to purchase multiples. Purchase them at our online store and we can mail out the gift cards to you for a $5 fee added to the purchase.
