    Fort William First Nation, Friday Sept 29, 2017 - North Caribou Lake First Nation (NCLFN), Fort William First Nation (FWFN), the City of Thunder Bay (CTB) and the Thunder Bay Police Services (TBPS) signed a Friendship Agreement to promote and co-operate in the areas of community development, public safety, anti-racism, education, social and cultural awareness between all four partners and their citizens.

    September 29, 2017 - The Government of Canada's New Horizons for Seniors Program awarded the City of Thunder Bay a grant to empower seniors to share their knowledge, skills and experience with others and enable seniors to age in their homes confidently and comfortably.

    The GIANTs (Grand Individuals Aging with Neighbours in Thunder Bay) project, coordinated by Age Friendly Thunder Bay, focused on addressing social isolation among seniors by encouraging them to talk with other seniors about aging at.

    September 25, 2017 - Nominations are now open for the 7th Annual Mayor's Community Safety Awards, which recognize Thunder Bay residents and groups who are working to make our city safer.

    Presented by the City of Thunder Bay and the Crime Prevention Council, the awards will be handed out during a special ceremony that will take place during the November 6 meeting of Thunder Bay City Council.
