Jasper Place Recognized with National "˜Caring Community Award'
February 3, 2015 - Jasper Place was presented with the national Caring Community Award from Canada Cares this past November for their successful Support Services Program.
Canada Cares, a not-for-profit organization that builds multi-disciplinary, multi-sector partnerships focused on promoting and supporting family and professional caregivers and the important role they play in our society, chose Jasper Place as part of their coast-to-coast search for the most caring and supportive facilities and programs.

City Resident Found Guilty of Illegal Outdoor Burning (1)January 29, 2015 - A Loch Lomond Road resident was found guilty of illegal outdoor burning earlier this week in Provincial Offences court and was fined $350. The charge stems from a July 2014 incident.

Council Ratifies Agreement with the Ontario Nurses' AssociationJanuary 13, 2015 - City Council ratified a two-year collective agreement with the Ontario Nurses' Association (ONA) which represents 58 full-time, part-time and casual Registered Nurses in the City's three Homes for the Aged.
