The City of Thunder Bay invites you to pack up your favourite stuffy and head to Vickers Park for one of the most beloved family events in Thunder Bay! Teddy Bears Picnic, presented by Ontario Power Generation, returns on Tuesday, July 8 from 11am to 3pm, promising a day of whimsy and family fun for teddy bears, children and people of all ages.  

One of the longest-running family events in Thunder Bay, Teddy Bears Picnic invites families to celebrate the joy of play, creativity, and community.

The City is delivering on a major commitment to support growth and investment in Thunder Bay, by simplifying and improving the development process with the launch of the Build Thunder Bay “One Stop Development Shop”.

Splash into summer at one of the many outdoor pools and supervised beaches opening today and tomorrow courtesy of the dedicated efforts of the City of Thunder Bay’s Recreation and Culture Division who are looking forward to providing another safe and fun swim season for everyone. 

“We are excited that Art Widnall Pool, Heath Park Pool and Boulevard Lake will be back in operation this summer along with Sandy Beach,” said Kim Begin, Supervisor – Aquatics, Wellness, Children and Youth.

This year, residents and visitors alike can celebrate Canada Day at Fort William Historical Park AND Canada Day on the Waterfront at Marina Park with both locations offering complementary events.
