New Chief of Superior North EMS AppointedShane Muir has been appointed Chief of Superior North Emergency Medical Services for the City and District of Thunder Bay, effective December 19, 2022.
Commander Muir started his career as a paramedic with Superior North EMS in 2007.
Flag Raising at City Hall for Louis Riel DayIn a ceremony today, Mayor Ken Boshcoff and the Regional President of the Métis Nation of Ontario, Wendy Houston, raised the Métis flag at City Hall in honour of Louis Riel Day. The flag’s infinity symbol represents the immortality of the Métis Nation, and the centre of the symbol, on its blue field, indicates the joining of two cultures.
City of Thunder Bay Beautifies Signal Boxes with Art WrapsArtwork by six local artists is now helping to beautify twelve intersections across the city. Each artist’s design is displayed in two locations as graphic vinyl wraps on traffic signal boxes located at intersections in high-pedestrian-traffic areas along the City’s image routes.
