Flags to Continue Being Flown at Half-Mast at City HallFlags at Thunder Bay City Hall have been flown at half-mast since May 31 to honour the lives lost following the discoveries of unmarked and mass graves near former residential school sites in Kamloops, British Columbia and Cowessess First Nation, Saskatchewan.
Since then, additional discoveries of 182 graves in Cranbrook, British Columbia, and 160 graves discovered in Penelakut Island, formerly known as Kuper Island, near Chemainus, British Columbia have been identified.
Pop-Up Public Input Booth on North Core Streetscapes ProjectOn Wednesday, July 28 from 12-4 pm, the public can visit the North Core Streetscapes project team at their “On the Street” pop-up booth at Cumberland Street North and Red River Road to provide feedback on the project.
Throughout the afternoon, the project team will share information and gather feedback about the project and this summer’s Pilot Areas.
