The City of Thunder Bay is issuing an extreme heat warning alert to the community as part of the COVID-19 Severe Weather Response Plan. The upcoming Canada Day holiday will result in changes to waste and recycling collection in Area 1, Area 2 and Area 3. Garbage and recycling collection will be one day earlier during the week of June 28 for residents in these Areas.

Traffic in the construction zone at Edward Street and Redwood Avenue will soon be further reduced to accommodate construction of the roundabout. 

Starting on Monday, June 28, southbound traffic on Edward Street will be maintained to Redwood Avenue and then from there, diverted to the west along Redwood Avenue.
