City and Partners Recognize International Overdose Awareness Day
The Thunder Bay Drug Strategy and partners commemorated International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD) with numerous activities dedicated to raising awareness of overdose and reducing the stigma of drug-related death. IOAD is a day to acknowledge the grief felt by families and friends of those who have died or suffered permanent injury because of an overdose.

Celebrating success: Thunder Bay Rural and Northern Immigration PilotToday, the Thunder Bay Community Economic Development Commission (CEDC) hosted an outdoor event to celebrate the success of 32 foreign skilled workers who have received a community recommendation through the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP). The successful candidates have received full-time permanent jobs with over 16 local employers and can now apply for their permanent residency with the Federal Government.
