Family Fun at Thunder Bay’s Annual Teddy Bears Picnic
It’s that time of year again! Calling all teddy bears and their owners for the annual Teddy Bears Picnic, presented by Ontario Power Generation, on Tuesday, July 10 at Vickers Park. Parents, caretakers, children and their teddy bears are invited for an afternoon of free crafts, activities and entertainment.

New Vehicle for Hire By-law Replaces Taxi By-lawThe City of Thunder Bay has introduced a new by-law regulating vehicles for hire and designated driver services to improve public health and safety, and to provide consumer protection.
“The new by-law introduces a new type of licence – a designated driver business licence,” said James Coady, Manager – Licensing and Enforcement Division.

Each high school received $1,000 through the 2017 – 2018 Green & Beautiful School Grant Program to take part in a “Green and Beautiful” project.
Unified Approach to New Anti-Racism and Inclusion CoalitionRepresentatives from 11 major organizations signed a Thunder Bay Anti-Racism & Inclusion Accord today at City Hall, and announced a Coalition that will commit to establish goals and report on successes by working together to address racism and discrimination in the community.
"Each and every lead at the organizations agreed that a unified approach and public statement declaring the existence of systemic racism within Thunder Bay needs to happen," said Ken Ogima, Chief Executive Officer at Fort.

Section of Victoria Avenue to Close to Westbound TrafficA section of Victoria Avenue, between Lillie Street and Waterloo Street, will be closed to westbound traffic due to asphalt resurfacing.
Construction will begin on Tuesday, June 19 and is expected to take up to two weeks to complete.
