artsVestâ„¢ Brings Year-long Training to Arts Organizations and Matching Funds to Thunder Bay's Cultural Economy
January 11, 2017 - Business for the Arts, Canada's only national charitable organization that strengthens arts and culture in Canada by building partnerships between the private and cultural sectors, announced today that its artsVest program is returning to Thunder Bay. With funding support from the Ontario Trillium Foundation and the Government of Canada.

Be Aware of the Dangers of Thin Ice and Cold WaterDecember 8, 2016 - With cold weather now upon us, Thunder Bay Fire Rescue is encouraging parents, guardians and teachers to speak with their children about the dangers of walking on ice and exposure to ice cold water.
Ice conditions should be considered dangerous at all times, but they are especially dangerous early in the winter season as thick ice has not yet formed.
