The City of Thunder Bay has launched a new Neighbourhood Services Map, an online interactive tool that helps residents, visitors, and businesses easily find City services, facilities, and community points of interest.

The map brings together a wide range of information into one easy-to-use platform.

The City of Thunder Bay is reminding all Section 3 water billing customers, which includes the Westfort, East End, Parkdale, Arthur St, Victoria Ave and 25th Side Road areas, that water bills will still be issued the week of October 13, as scheduled, despite the ongoing Canada Post strike.

Customers are advised that bill due dates remain in effect, and payment is expected on or before the due date – November 14, 2025.

Taking a step forward in modernizing service delivery and enhancing customer service, the City of Thunder Bay is pleased to announce the launch of e-billing for water account customers.

Customers who opt for e-billing will receive their water bills directly via email, ensuring timely and uninterrupted delivery.

The City of Thunder Bay is moving forward with plans to create a centralized Customer Service Division, a “one-stop shop” designed to make it easier and faster for residents to access City services.

The new division will bring together front-line services so that residents can contact the City by phone, email, online, or in person—without needing to know which specific department to call.

Starting in early October 2025, the City of Thunder Bay’s new Designated Truck Route (DTR) will come into effect as part of a plan to enhance public safety.

Under the new DTR, transport trucks will be redirected off Dawson Road and Arthur Street, and instead required to use Highway 11/17, which is specifically built to higher design standards and maintenance operations.
