River Street to Close to Facilitate Water Main Construction
July 14, 2015 - The eastbound lane of River Street between Rockwood Avenue to Pine Street will be closed for part of the day on Wednesday, July 15 to facilitate water main construction.
The closure is expected to last about six hours, beginning in the morning.
Boulevard Lake Dam Rehabilitation Important Ongoing ProjectJuly 10, 2015 - The City was made aware through media that a letter from the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change (MOECC), dated July 2, 2015, was sent by mail to the City requesting additional information on the planning for the Boulevard Lake Dam Rehabilitation Project. Only today was the City able to obtain a copy this letter, upon request to the Ministry.
Pacific Avenue Bridge to Close for ResurfacingJuly 10, 2015 - The Pacific Avenue Bridge will be closed to all vehicular traffic and pedestrians on Tuesday, July 14 and Wednesday, July 15, due to resurfacing.
There will be no access to the East End neighbourhood via Pacific Avenue during the work period.
Section of Golf Links Road to Close on July 14July 10, 2015 - Golf Links Road from Crystal Street/Cascade Crescent South to Fairbank Crescent will close to vehicular through traffic on Tuesday, July 14, as part of the ongoing Golf Links Road expansion project.
The closure will allow the McIntyre River bridge to be reconfigured to accommodate four lanes of traffic.
City Marks 2015 Peace Bell CeremonyJuly 9, 2015 - The City of Thunder Bay once again joined with Sister City Gifu City, Japan, to call for world peace at the 2015 Peace Bell Ceremony.
"This ceremony is important to the Sister City relationship we enjoy with Gifu City, Japan," Mayor Keith Hobbs said.
Proposed Transit Service ImprovementsJuly 7, 2015 - The City of Thunder Bay is proposing changes to certain transit routes on the south side of the city to improve service, and is looking for the public's feedback.

Section of Edward Street to Close for WideningJune 29, 2015 – Edward Street from Arthur Street to Victoria Avenue will close to northbound traffic starting on Wednesday, July 1 to allow for road construction and widening.
The work is expected to take up to five weeks to complete.
