Oliver Road will be closed between Winnipeg Street and Ontario Street beginning at 8pm on Thursday, August 1.

City Council adopted Official Plan Amendment No. 16 - By-law 275-2024, and City Council Passed a By-law - 296-2024, adopting the Housing Community Improvement Plan on the 22nd day of July 2024 for the City of Thunder Bay.

A number of construction projects are expected to impact vehicular, cycling, and pedestrian travel in Thunder Bay throughout the month of August.

The City is investing $42 million in 2024 to fund crucial infrastructure work including road rehabilitation, sidewalk replacement, sewer and watermain repairs and replacements, and bridge and culvert renewal.

The City of Thunder Bay and partners are proud to launch the 2SLGBTQIA+ Welcome Sticker Initiative that will see decals featuring the colours and symbols of the Progress Pride flag displayed across all City facilities indicating that Thunder Bay is a safe, inclusive, and supportive space for individuals of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions.

Mayor Ken Boshcoff expressed strong support for the initiative, stating, "Thunder Bay is a community that values diversity.
