INJURED WORKERS DAY

WHEREAS, decades of struggle by workers and their unions have created many health and safety regulations and an employer-funded Workers Compensation System for times when those safeguards fail; and

The City of Thunder Bay is thrilled to announce that 2024 Juno Award winner, Aysanabee, will perform at Canada Day on the Waterfront, presented by Ontario Power Generation, on July 1, 2024.

Aysanabee is Oji-Cree and part of the Sucker Clan of Sandy Lake First Nation.

The Mountdale Boat Launch is scheduled to close for improvements starting Monday, June 3.

The boat launch and the park area will be closed to the public as the work gets underway, with completion expected by September 30, dependent on weather.

Emerging projects are open to local organizations and businesses, city committees, and city departments for grants up to $5000.

The playground at Wasco Park will be closed for replacement beginning on Wednesday, May 29.

The existing structure has come to the end of its life and is being removed to make room for a new playground, which is designed to be more inclusive and contains accessible components.
