High Street South is currently closed between Oliver Road and Markland Street, for an emergency sewer repair.

While the repair is completed, there will be no through traffic on this section of High Street South.

Chippewa Park Campground now has lift tracks in two of its accessible cabins, to further enhance the accessibility for wheelchair users for this upcoming 2024 camping season and beyond.

A ceiling track system has been installed over one of the beds in each of the two cabins.

The City of Thunder Bay has surpassed its provincially assigned housing target for 2023. One of only nine Ontario municipalities to achieve this goal, the City expects to receive funding from the provincial Building Faster fund.

WHEREAS, in 2023, an estimated 6700 people will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in Canada and 90 percent will eventually die from the disease; and

WHEREAS, Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all major cancers, and just 10 percent of those diagnosed survive five years or longer; and

WHEREAS, Pancreatic cancer is the now third leading cause of cancer related death in Canada; and

WHEREAS, Pancreatic cancer has taken too many lives, far too quickly. Action must be.
