The Muskeg Express train ride at Centennial Park is set to reopen on Saturday, August 19 following a temporary closure that was required in order to evaluate the operation. All inspections, testing and required repairs have been completed and the amusement ride has been approved for operation by the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA).

Chippewa Park Carousel Set to Reopen After RepairsThe historic carousel at Chippewa Park has been repaired after an unfortunate incident last week which saw the carousel damaged from a vehicle that drove into the ride and surrounding fence.
City staff and outside contractors worked to complete the repairs and reassemble the carousel as quickly as possible.
Online Citizen Satisfaction Survey Underway in Thunder BayThe City of Thunder Bay has launched an online citizen satisfaction survey to monitor and understand local priorities and concern on a wide range of City services while assessing the local quality of life. This year the City has partnered with Zencity who will host the survey online for targeted continuous monitoring of residents’ opinions and satisfaction levels.
