Acting Chief of EMS Appointed

October 6, 2015 – Superior North EMS is pleased to announce Deputy Chief Wayne Gates as its Acting Chief.

Mr. Gates has been with SNEMS since May 2001, and has also held both positions of Deputy Chief Operations and Deputy Chief of Professional Standards. He holds an Honours Bachelor of Applied Business in Emergency Service and received the Emergency Medical Services Exemplary Medal from the Governor General of Canada in 2008. He started as a paramedic in 1986.

Mr. Gates will fill the role as Chief of EMS, effective today, while Chief Norm Gale acts as Interim City Manager.
