Auditorium Parking Lot Closed for Reconstruction
The Auditorium’s main parking lot will be unavailable while crews work to rebuild and repave the lot before the end of the 2026 construction season.
Parking is available on Winnipeg Avenue, near the Canada Games Complex, or in the Port Arthur Stadium or Port Arthur Arena parking lots nearby. Temporary accessible parking has been put in place on Paul Shaffer Drive across from The Auditorium main entrance for individuals requiring barrier-free access to the facility during the parking lot reconstruction.
“The new parking lot will enhance access and convenience for visitors to both The Auditorium and the forthcoming Tbaytel Multiplex,” says Kelvin Jankowski, Manager – Capital Facility Construction.
“While we recognize the temporary inconvenience during construction, this investment will support year-round recreation, events, and community programming and help ensure both facilities can accommodate increased use in the years ahead.”
This project supports the City's Smart Growth Action Plan through continued investment in infrastructure that helps community assets accommodate future growth. Improved parking capacity will support the ongoing use of The Auditorium and future Tbaytel Multiplex indoor turf facility, strengthening opportunities for economic activity, recreation, and community gathering.
