City Advances Streetscape Project

As part of the final stages of the City’s multi-year North Core Streetscape Project, the intersection of Red River Road and Court Street will be closed for up to one week, beginning Tuesday, October 13. The closure of Court Street will extend from Park Avenue to Cooke Street.

The temporary closure will allow for crews to complete paver installation, traffic signal commissioning, and roadwork. This project is part of ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure, improve accessibility and walkability, support public events, and create a more vibrant urban environment for residents and visitors in the downtown area.

In alignment with Action A3 of the City’s Smart Growth Action Plan to revitalize the north core, the North Core Street Scape Renewal replaces aging underground infrastructure and road surfaces, beautifies our downtown, and enhances the pedestrian experience, where pedestrian safety is prioritized.
