Research and Innovation Week

MARCH 7-11 2022

WHEREAS, Lakehead University has, for more than 50 years, pursued research and innovation activities in various disciplines; and

WHEREAS, the Thunder Bay community and Northwestern Ontario greatly benefit from Lakehead University’s various research and innovation initiatives in the social sciences, humanities, sciences and engineering, and health services; and

WHEREAS, Lakehead University’s Research and Innovation Week celebrates the numerous accomplishments to the citizens of the community of Thunder Bay and beyond.

NOW THEREFORE, I, Bill Mauro, Mayor of the City of Thunder Bay, do hereby proclaim March7-11 2022, to be Research and Innovation Week at Lakehead University and the City of Thunder Bay, and encourage/invite all citizens to recognize and celebrate the many contributions of Lakehead University’s researchers to the Thunder Bay community.
