WHEREAS, The Salvation Army is the largest non-governmental service provider in Canada; and

WHEREAS, The Salvation Army has been caring for men, women and children, in Thunder Bay and across Ontario for over 135 years; and

WHEREAS, The Salvation Army’s annual Christmas Kettle Campaign is a symbol of hope to people who receive care from the Salvation Army in Thunder Bay each year.

WHEREAS, Dyslexia is a neurobiological learning disability that is characterized by an unexpected difficulty in learning to read. With proper diagnosis, instruction and support, individuals with dyslexia can learn to read accurately and fluently, and lead a successful life; and
