Public Invited to Open House for Thunder Bay Police Facility ReviewAs part of the Thunder Bay Police Facility Review, a public open house will be held on Thursday, Dec. 12, from 4 – 7 pm, in City Hall Lobby, 500 Donald St.
Residents’ Input Sought on Future Uses of the Dease Pool Site & Park AreaThe City is inviting residents to share feedback on a draft recreational opportunities concept plan for the Dease Pool and Park area. Residents can have their say through an online survey or during two open house drop-in sessions.
Comprehensive Program and Service Review BeginsIn March 2019, City Council approved a review to improve understanding of the programs and services currently provided by the City, and provide information that will allow Council and administration to make informed strategic choices regarding those programs and services.
The City has hired Grant Thornton LLP to provide the independent review.

As part of the City of Thunder Bay’s strategy to provide splash pads across the city, the Parks & Open Spaces Section is now in the planning stages to implement its next splash pad.
Residents Encouraged to Share Input in Online Budget SurveyFollowing last night’s Public Open House that gathered input on the City’s 2019-2022 Corporate Strategic Plan and 2020 City Budget, residents are being given another opportunity to share their input into next year’s City budget through an online survey.
Available until June 19, the survey asks residents to identify their budget priorities – what areas they would propose spending less or more budget, and what City programs, projects and services are important to them.
Citizen Satisfaction Survey Now Available Online for Residents (1)For those residents who were not contacted by telephone for the 2019 Citizen Satisfaction Survey, they now have an opportunity to share their views online until April 30.
The City of Thunder Bay commissioned Ipsos, a professional public opinion research company, to conduct the 2019 survey by telephone to a random selection of 500 residents for a two week period, April 2 - 16.
