The Thunder Bay 55 Plus Centre offers recreational programs, activities and services for those 55 and older in our community. There is no membership fee required to join in the fun, everyone 55 plus is welcome! 

Hours of Operation

  • Monday - Thursday: 8:30 am - 9:00 pm
  • Friday: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
  • Saturday: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
  • Sunday: 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm (Closed on holiday weekends)

 2025 Holiday Hours

The 55 Plus Centre is CLOSED on the following holidays*: 

  • Family Day - Monday, February 17, 2025
  • Good Friday - Friday, April 18, 2025
  • Easter Sunday - Sunday, April 20, 2025
  • Easter Monday - Monday, April 21, 2025
  • Victoria Day - Monday, May 19, 2025
  • Canada Day - Monday, June 30, Tuesday, July 1, 2025
  • Civic Holiday - Monday, August 4, 2025
  • Labour Day - Monday, September 1, 2025
  • National Day for Truth and Reconciliation - Tuesday, September 30, 2025
  • Thanksgiving - Monday, October 13, 2025
  • Remembrance Day - Tuesday, November 11, 2025
  • Christmas closure: 12:00 pm Wednesday, December 24, 2025 and reopening on Monday, January 5, 2026.

*The Centre will be closed on Sundays of all holiday weekends with a Monday closure.
