Juno-nominated Cris Derksen to Kick Off Wednesday’s Live on the WaterfrontThe City of Thunder Bay and presenting sponsor Ontario Power Generation are excited to host Cris Derksen, an internationally respected Indigenous cellist and composer this week on Wednesday, July 13.
Cris Derksen will be hitting the stage at Live on the Waterfront at 8 pm with a unique style that braids the traditional and contemporary, weaving her classical background and Indigenous ancestry together with new-school electronics to create genre-defying music.

With community events happening over the entire summer, the fireworks will not be taking place on July 1, but at a Live on the Waterfront event at the end of August.

Neighbour Day provides residents the platform to reach out to their neighbours to develop positive and supportive relationships, while encouraging unity and inclusivity.
