The City of Thunder Bay received a Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for its 2025 budget presentation.
The award encourages municipal governments across Canada to prepare budget documents and presentations of the highest quality that reflect both the guidelines and best practices set out by GFOA. To earn this recognition, budget documents must serve as a policy document, a financial plan, an operations guide, as well as enhance budget communications.
