Beginning Monday, April 6, 2020 Thunder Bay Transit will operate on an enhanced Sunday service schedule that will maintain early morning start times on all Sunday routes six days per week, Monday – Saturday. Routes will be reduced to approximately 45-minute service frequency and will operate from 6 a.m. – 11 p.m. with the following exceptions:

  • Route 4 will operate Monday – Friday 6:30 am – 6:00 pm and Saturday 7:00 am - 6:00 pm (by reservation transit evening service)
  • Route 6 will be suspended, effective on Friday, April 10 until further notice *NEW
  • Route 12 will operate Monday – Saturday 6:20 am – 7:00 pm
  • Route 16 will operate Monday – Saturday 6:20 am – 6:00 pm

There are no changes to Sunday/Holiday Schedules.

The following statutory holidays offer a holiday service schedule:

  • Christmas Day (December 25, 2019)
  • Boxing Day (December 26, 2019)
  • New Year's Day (January 1, 2020)
  • Family Day (February 17, 2020)
  • Good Friday (April 10, 2020)
  • Victoria Day (Monday, May 18, 2020)
  • Canada Day (July 1, 2020)
  • Civic Holiday (August 3, 2020)
  • Labour Day (September 7, 2020)
  • Thanksgiving Day (October 12, 2020)
  • Christmas Day (December 25, 2020)
  • Boxing Day (December 26, 2020)
  • New Year's Day (January 1, 2021)

Transit Administration will be closed on the above holidays as well as the following:

  • December 24, 2019 at 12pm to January 2, 2020
  • April 13, 2020
  • November 11, 2020
