Transit routes impacted by reconstruction of north core streetsSeveral Thunder Bay Transit bus routes will temporarily take detours to accommodate work to rebuild roads and sewers in the downtown north core.
Starting Monday, May 6, routes 1, 2, 3M, 11, and 13 will detour because of construction closing the Red River Road and Cumberland Street intersection.
North Core Streetscapes renewal project starts up for summerWork on the North Core Streetscapes renewal will continue this summer on Court Street, with work shifting to Red River Road.
The streetscape work started in 2023, and this spring, crews have started to install granite planters and concrete pavers on Court Street as the ground has thawed enough to resume work.
